the dogs that fall under this “breed ban” it won’t even get the chance to be adopted

if the owner brings in the dog it will immediately be killed

the breeds in the “ban” are “bullies” ie: Dobermans, Rottweilers, Chow Chows, German Shepherds, Great Danes, Pitbulls, Mastiffs, Akitas and Huskies

So recently I’ve moved to Atlanta, it’s a nice city and all but recently I’ve noticed these billboards. There all about Childhood Obesity. It’s just I feel bad for the kids posted on there.

How would you like to be put on a billboard saying don’t be a fat adult with your…

Also, we generally treat kids like it’s their fault that they’re obese or unhealthy. If it’s anyone’s fault then it’s the parents for not buying their kids the correct food, for not preparing healthy meals for them, and for not teaching them the correct way to eat. Schools aren’t helping much either. Why aren’t we getting healthier meals for school lunches?

Parents and poverty are at fault, not the children. I completely empathize with these kids. There was a point in my life where I was overweight and was bullied constantly because of it. I had a mother who only cared about image and pressured me into some seriously bad habits in order to lose weight. If we just educated children and parents on cheap, and healthy alternatives, this problem would be significantly reduced. Also, for fig’s sake, let your kid run around outside. Too many times have I heard the excuse: “The world is a dangerous place these days, I don’t want my son/daughter outside”. Deprive your kid of fresh air, exercise, and socialization  in order to keep them “safe” and unhealthy indoors? If you’re so worried, stop watching TV and watch your kid instead.
